As the season 3 premiere of "Hart of Dixie" gets close with every passing minute, fans reflect back on the show's central themes. In the first two seasons, the show revolved around a love triangle between Zoe (Rachel Bilson), Wade (Wilson Bethel) and George (Scott Porter), but now, that will all be coming to an end.

At the ATX Television Festival, creator Leila Gerstein revealed that the issue is going to be "laid to bed," at least for a little while. Actor Scott Porter, who plays George on the show, reiterated the news, claiming that he thinks Zoe and George's "borderline unhealthy infatuation" needed to be dealt with, but that the two aren't going to link up anytime soon. They also revealed whether or not Wade truthfully loves Zoe, a love he confessed to her in the season 2 finale. Check out a video of the entire interview below.

As previously reported, according to TVLine, executive producer Leila Gerstein said that Wade's cheating and the couple's breaking up "was never intended to be the end" of their relationship. Actor Wilson Bethel helped add to Zade fans' hopes by saying that a fully developed Zoe-Wade "scenario" in the upcoming season "seems pretty logical." Bethal added, "It's probably good that there's a bit of anticipation about what she will do" come the fall.

Now if Gerstein states that the love triangle between Zoe, George and Wade will be put to rest, and Bethel hints at a fully developed scenario between him and Zoe, are they suggesting that season 3 will see the return of Zade? If he really does love her, then that would seem fitting. If he doesn't, then it will be interesting to see which path the show takes.

In an interview with TV Fanatic during The CW Upfronts, Bethal also said that he hopes his character does a lot of maturing and that he'd like Wade to "be happily in love with Zoe" in the upcoming third season. Zade fans are sure to agree, and all signs are pointing to a rekindled relationship.

"Hart of Dixie" will return to The CW this fall.
