The Samsung Galaxy S4 has been flying off shelves at an unprecedented rate, becoming Samsung's fastest selling smartphone ever. Sadly, it might not be enough. If a new rumor is to be believed, then Samsung could be pushing for an earlier launch for the Galaxy Note 3 to make up for Galaxy S4 sales.

The rumors come via analysts, who seem to believe that Samsung is simply not satisfied with the current sales projections of the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy Note 3 is Samsung's next big thing, and its release could increase interest in Samsung devices across the globe. Plus, let's not forget that both the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and original Galaxy Note were incredibly successful in their own rights, paving the way for the phablets at a time when most industry watchers thought such a big device would be a flop.

Samsung has not confirmed anything about the Galaxy Note 3, and most likely won't for another couple months.

Instead, Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Note 3 around September, at or around the IFA 2013 electronics trade show. Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note 2 just before IFA last year, so the strategy isn't new. Having a fresh high-profile handset in time for fall allows Samsung to combat Apple's inevitable fall lineup and rake in the cash from holiday spenders.

So far, the Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to sport a design similar to the Galaxy S4. The phablet is said to be equipped with a 6-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocking in over 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and the latest version of Android at the time of its release.
