Olympic skier Lindsay Vonn opened up for the first time about her relationship with the world's famous golfer in an interview with the New York Times over the weekend.

Vonn, who made her relationship with Woods public about three months ago, said her life has never been the same since becoming the girlfriend of the superstar athlete.

"I can be normal by myself; no one notices me," Vonn said in an interview with The New York Times. "But wherever he's around, we're living in a fishbowl. I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into. It's weird. But it's just something I have to deal with. He has his job, and I have mine. I just have to get used to it."

Vonn added she's still learning to live under the shadows of Woods, who's arguably the most-celebrated sports personality in history.

"Some people seem to forget that I'm not just Tiger's girlfriend," Vonn told US Weekly. "I'm actually a successful athlete. I'm Lindsey. I have my own career and my own life."

Outside her life with Woods, Vonn is a decorated skier with multiple world championships and two Olympic medals, including a gold in downhill skiing at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Vonn made it clear that she's happy right now and the failed marriage she had with fellow skier Thomas Vonn thought her well about life.

"I'm not an idiot. I try not to look, but I see what people say about me on Facebook. I see other things written. But I don't care. I learned a while ago from my divorce that my happiness is the most important thing. That's all I can control. And right now, I'm happy," She added.

Vonn supported Woods throughout the four-day US Open campaign, which eventually extended the golfer's Grand Slam drought. Woods finished 12 shots behind US Open winner Justin Rose at Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia.
