Spain will commence its Confederations Cup run on Sunday when it takes on Uruguay.

The Spaniards are looking to dispel the "weakness" that the team constantly hears from pundits on a yearly basis. The Spaniards enter the tournament as the favorites to win but have a number of questions surrounding their depth up front.

"The players have now cleared their minds after an intense domestic campaign and are arriving in Brazil in good condition," Coach Vicente Del Bosque said. "We have a great squad here - all the players are starters with their clubs - and we will find it difficult [picking a starting XI] from such a good group."

Spain also faces a serious question in goal since number one Iker Casillas has not played in months. Reports suggest that Victor Valdes will start the tournament but Casillas could make an appearance at some point.

"From the first day, we have not seen much effect from Casillas' break from action," Del Bosque explained. "His personal behavior is correct.  Any decision we take, in one way or another, I do not believe would be an error because all three are magnificent keepers."

Meanwhile Uruguay will look to improve its form after a number of disastrous appearance in World Cup qualifying. At the center of attention is controversial striker Luis Suarez. The Liverpool star has been questioned about his status with his club.

"Here, I come to play for Uruguay and [am] not thinking what I can do to benefit a transfer. My only goal is to win the cup," said Suarez.

Prediction: Spain will win this game with its usual slow pace and determined passing; 1-0 Spain.

Start Time: Kick off starts at 6 PM Eastern Standard Time.
