Ivory Coast will look to clinch a spot in the third round when it takes on Tanzania in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers on Sunday.

The winner of the group earns a spot in the third round where it will be drawn at random into a matchup with another group victory. The two sides will contest two legs and the aggregate winner will book a spot in the World Cup finals next summer in Brazil.

Ivory Coast currently sits atop Group C with 10 points. A victory would be sufficient for Ivory Coast as none of the other two squads would be able to catch them. Tanzania currently has six points and needs to win its final two matches to have any chance of catching Ivory Coast. A draw would eliminate them from competition as they would only be able to earn a maximum of 10 points; Ivory Coast would have 11 with a draw.

Ivory Coast defeated Tanzania in both team's opening match by the score of a 2-0. Since then, Ivory Coast has won two of three and has scored a total of 10 goals through its first four contests; the Elephants have only conceded twice in the tournament. Tanzania has earned one victory and two draws since losing to Ivory Coast.

Tanzania has never qualified for the World Cup finals. Ivory Coast is looking to earn its third straight appearance at the most recognized tournament in the world. The team earned one victory in each of its previous appearances but has never managed to get out of a group stage.

Prediction: Ivory Coast is the superior side and should have little difficulty pulling off a 1-0 win.

Start Time: Kick off starts at 8 AM Eastern Standard Time.

TV Info: The match will not be transmitted on television in North America.
