Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablets in Germany are currently receiving a quick fix in the form of an update.

The update will bring the Galaxy Note 8.0 up to N5100XXBMF1 but will not bump up the Android version. The Galaxy Note 8.0 will still run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and despite the update weighing in at 174MB, details are scant on what exactly the update brings. Instead, pretty much all that's known about it is that it improves system stability and also introduces a transparent notifications bar.

So far, the update has only been reported in Germany, although more regions are expected to follow. Over-the-air updates tend to be staggered, and will often hit one area of the globe far before others.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is Samsung's answer to Apple's iPad mini and Google's Nexus 7. The popular tablet will be heading stateside soon, and it has just been announced that the Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE model will land on AT&T's network.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 sports an 8-inch WXGA display that pushes out 189 pixels per inch. The tablet is also equipped with 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor and 2GB RAM. Its shooters come in at 5 megapixels for the rear-facing camera and 1.3 megapixels for the front-facing lens. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is complemented by the S Pen electronic stylus.

Let us know if you've received an update for your Galaxy Note 8.0 and what changes you've noticed.
