Many fans around the world are eager to get their hands on both the next generation of consoles and the latest edition of the FIFA franchise. FIFA 14 is primed to become one of the biggest soccer games in recent years, because of the vast improvements that the next-gen technology of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and EA Ignite engine affords developers. Though FIFA 14 is also coming to current consoles, EA decided to show off the next-gen version of the sequel's gameplay at E3.

One of the new standout elements in FIFA is the addition of a livlier crowd system. The virtual football fans looks much more alive than any previous sports games, and will grow louder if the home team is doing well. The game's Pro Instincts feature allows the players on the pitch more like their real-world counterparts would. We see players make intelligent plays, and avoid defenders more naturally, we also see players set up passes more naturally, and it no longer looks as though the two players and the ball are attached by an invisible string.

Player movement has also received a great deal of attention. We see one player go in for a tackle as the ball handler does a quick side step in order to avoid losing control of the ball. Details like that make for a much more interesting game. Momentum and physics will also appear more natural, meaning that player movement will have a weightier feel.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be out September 27. The Xbox One will launch in November, with the PlayStation 4 expected around that time as well, so FIFA 14 could be a launch title for the systems.
