Episode 8 begins with Escobar enjoying the companionship of numerous prostitutes. However, as his wife arrives, the drug lord is forced to stop the party and make sure he is not caught by his wife. His wife remains suspicious even though he denies the affairs. Pablo ultimately tells her off. She in turns feels guilty for her attitude and they make up.

In the meantime Luis Carlos and Rodrigo are aspiring politicians who start to give their attention to Pablo Escobar in order to find out more about his business deals. Juan Carlos on the other hand, campaigns for presidency and is resolute to change Colombia.

Pablo Escobar and his friend Javier Ortiz also build a campaign to obtain a seat in Congress. Pablo Escobar takes up Luis Carlos' mantle of change and campaigns on the grounds that he also wants to change Colombia and make it a better place to live in.

During the campaign speech, Pablo and his men distribute money for the destitute. During a conference with his associates, all of his partners do not agree with him entering congress since it may end up ruining the business.

Luis Carlos continues his investigation and in a meeting with a newspaper editor, the editor tells him that Pablo Escobar is a drug dealer.

On his trip to Medellin Luis Carlos gives a speech in which he goes against Escobar and Javier Ortiz because of his involvement in narcotics.

An infuriated Pablo decides to make up his own political party but is quickly persuaded not to by Javier Ortiz. Pablo goes with Javier to Bogota to meet with Senator Alonso to discuss political campaigns. The senator tells Pablo Escobar could easily become the President of Colombia.
