Lupillo Rivera has a special onscreen appearance in Televisa's newest soap opera "Libre Para Amarte," which stars legendary singer Gloria Trevi, alongside Gabriel Soto (Un Refugio Para El Amor), and Eduardo Santamarina (Por Ella Soy Eva), who Trevi revealed she is excited to work with.
In a short preview for the upcoming telenovela we see Lupillo Rivera serenade Aurora (Trevi), and in the next cut we can see Soto get mad at the singer for his gesture after which he confronts him.
A few weeks ago, while taping his appearance on the show, the singer thanked the producers of the telenovela for letting him play a small but memorable role on the program.
The telenovela has been a ratings hit for Televisa despite initial reservations about the unorthodox pick for the lead female character played by the controversial singer Gloria Trevi. In the telenovela, Trevi plays a taxi driver named Aurora.
Back when the telenovela was announced Trevi said that she asked her husband to teach her how to drive because she had never done so up to that point. Trevi also sings the main theme for the telenovela.
