Battlefield 4 made quite a splash at E3, as the heavily hyped game appeared multiple times during the days presentations. EA was quite proud of the game, and took the opportunity to show off the games dynamic, 64 player multiplayer mode at the event. EA is also offering a special treat to Battlefield fans, as they are livestreaming the game's multiplayer mode exclusively to those with Battlefield community membership.

Those who cannot access the livestream are in luck, as EA has also released their E3 video highlighting some of the features of the game's online mode. This includes a revamped Commander Mode for the game. Using a tablet, players will get an overhead view of the map to keep track of all the different squads and players at their disposal. The commander will give the other players objectives, such as capturing keep points on the map. In addition, they will be able to use special features like heavy artillery to help out squads having difficulty on the mission.

Another feature which has gotten a lot of attention is the destructible environments featured in the multiplayer demo. It seems as though anything and everything can be taken down with enough firepower. One example of this in the video is players using C4 to bring down a support beam of an underground structure. This allows an enemy tank to fall partially through the roof, allowing another player to take it out. Another example seen is when tanks are used to being bring down an entire skyscraper that hosts a waypoint that teams must capture. We see the building down from the outside, showing off the raw power of next-gen consoles and the building collapses in spectacular fashion.

Being able to repeat these jaw-dropping moments again and again should be exciting for both new and old Battlefield fans, to say the least. Look out for the game when the next-gen consoles launch, as well as on October 29 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
