No matter where you run, no matter where you hide, the zombies will find you. Even during the offseason of AMC's hit series "The Walking Dead," zombie fanatics continue to dig for details on the upcoming fourth season. A recent behind-the-scenes video features the show's masterminds as they provide fans with insight into the forthcoming season, however the "Walking Dead" zombie massacre doesn't stop there. In fact, season 4 will host many more flesh eaters than it has in the past, and not only that, they're going to be more deadly than ever before.

Following the season 3 finale, producer Gale Ann Hurd informed fans that the new season "would amp up the threat of walkers." Season 3 focused more on life inside the prison, putting zombies somewhat on the backburner. This time around, however, fans can expect more of what they've grown to love.

In a more recent interview with AMC, Hurd reconfirmed the rumors. "I think we'll have walkers who are even more ravenous than before," she said. "We're in a world where there are fewer people and more walkers, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw that on-screen this season."

With an increasing number of vicious walkers in season 4, what does that mean for the show's characters? The threat is heightened, so naturally, there should be more death. What says 'don't forget about the walkers' more than a few gruesome brain-chomping scenes? Well, Hurd hinted at just that when discussing the biggest challenges of producing a show like "The Walking Dead."

"We have serious weather issues to contend with," she said. "We had one day where there was a torrential downpour and a tree fell on the set, so you just have to roll with stuff like that. Other times, you realize a character that you thought might live actually has to die."

Now Hurd doesn't specify whether she's referring to past "Walking Dead" deaths or current events taking place in the fourth season, however it does leave room for speculation. With the walker threat on the rise, it's only fitting.
