No matter where you run, no matter where you hide, the zombies will always find you. Even after the season 3 finale of the hit series "The Walking Dead," it's impossible to escape the zombie mania. Although season 4 is still several months away, there is plenty of intriguing details from the set to help fans survive the flesh-eating living dead drought. In most recent news, new showrunner Scott Gimple shed some light on what fans can expect from him and the rest of the "Walking Dead" crew in the upcoming fourth season.

In a new video, the producers talk about the first episode, which Gimple wrote himself. He previously worked on two of the series' highest rating episode to date, "Clear" and "Pretty Much Dead Already." Alongside Gimple will be Greg Nicotero directing the season four premiere, which he claims is "bigger than any script I've ever done before... there're new people coming in, some great character turns, great twists that will delight the fans." Check out the video below, providing an inside look into the upcoming fourth season.

In other news regarding the season 4 scripts, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, went on about Gimple, who took the reins from Glen Mazzara in the wake of season 3. "As far as the internal group, we're all the same people, but the structure of the writing's a bit different, and it's so intense," Reedus said. "These are our best scripts yet." It sounds like all the pieces are in the right place for one of the best seasons yet.

Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" will return to AMC in October.
