Zombies never take a break. They are always on the prowl, searching for human flesh. They don't sleep, rest or take a day off. They're always on the prowl, hungry, searching. In this regard, zombies are similar to the fans of the hit zombie series, "The Walking Dead." Season 3 ended in March, but diligent fans have kept their eyes and ears peeled for details regarding the fourth season, which is currently in production.

In a recent interview, co-executive producer Denise Huth shed some light on what fans can expect from the developing relationship between Carl and Rick in the upcoming season.

"Carl's changing. It's a huge wake-up call for Rick and it's a big fear for him moving into next season. Is Carl going to be the next Rick, or is Carl going to be the Governor," she said. Huth may have left room for fans to speculate on what role Carl will assume, however, it seems like she may be hinting towards a more destructive unraveling of their relationship, which can't be good.

In other "Walking Dead" news, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, recently informed fans of an "unreal" new threat that will present itself in season 4.

"The scripts this season are just amazing. The sets are crazy," Reedus said. "It feels like we've shot about three movies already. It's super intense, and everything's for a specific reason, and it's great right now."

"They've introduced a way to make zombies scary again, and they're terrifying. The new threat is just unreal. I can't of course tell you what that is, but it's brilliant writing."

As previously reported, there will be plenty of more zombies in the season 4 than we've seen in the past, as well as a new way to 'kill' the walking dead.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8c.
