'Melissa & Joey,' ABC Family's hit comedy series, returned last week with Melissa (Melissa Joan Hart) and Joe (Joseph Lawrence) figuring out a new work dynamic in the Burke residence. A new job prospect across the street for Joe sent Mel into a bit of a panic until nephew Ryder (Nick Robinson) gets suspended from school, giving Joe a new job at home.
Meanwhile, Ryder's big sister Lennox (Taylor Spreitler) was forced to do some recon work when she discovered that boyfriend Zander (guest star Sterling Knight) found another muse. Zander managed to save himself by telling Lennox that he just can't fully capture her beauty on paper and chose an easier model.
In the upcoming episode, entitled "Toxic Parents," Zander and Lennox will be at it again after he forbids her from getting a tattoo. Of course, Lennox doesn't take no as an answer and decides to get a tattoo anyways. In a sneak peak of the episode, Lennox is seen asking Zander to design a tattoo for her, to which he decidedly replies no because tattoos on girls look "trashy." As for Lennox's brother, ABC Family adds, "Ryder is surprised to find he actually misses school."
Of course the teens aren't the only ones with issues. ABC Family teases, "Melissa and Joe are both happy in their new relationships, until they discover they are dating a divorced couple. Soon, they are competing to be the favorite of the ex-couple's son."
Knowing the two's competitive streak, they will surely get themselves in a world of trouble as they compete for the youngster's affections. But will they lose their relationships in the process?
'Melissa & Joey' S3E2 airs on Wednesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
