The rich continue to get richer. Robert Lewandowski's agent announced Monday at the striker would be leaving Borussia Dortmund and joining rival club Bayern Munich this summer.

According to ESPN, agent Cezary Kucharski replied "yes" when asked whether his client was going to play for the Bavarian club. He added that the two German rivals were talking and that no agreement has been signed yet.

The news is the latest in a series of twists and turns concerning the Polish striker. A few days ago, Borussia manager Jurgen Klopp stated that his top scorer was not leaving this summer.

"My conclusion is that Robert is not leaving Borussia. He will play here for the next season. That is why I don't want to even think about which club he may fit better," said Klopp during an interview with the Daily Star.

However, the rumors had slowly increased when his other agent Maik Barthel made this statement:

"We have reached an agreement with a club and intend (him) to move this summer... There is a very interesting offer for Robert which fulfills entirely the demands set by Dortmund and also the demands of Robert. Dortmund have assured us that Robert can move at the end of the season under these conditions. We stick to agreements and now it's up to the clubs to sort things out."

Lewandowski had a terrific year in Dortmund. He scored 24 goals in the German Bundesliga and added 10 in the UEFA Champions League. Lewandowski's biggest game of the year was a four goal effort against Real Madrid in the Champions league semifinal. He did not score a single goal in the tournament after that performance.

Bayern Munich also acquired Mario Götze from Borussia earlier this season.
