Many "Walking Dead" fans were devastated to see Andrea offed during the season 3 finale. How could she die while The Governor prevailed? It didn't seem right, but then again, anything goes in world inundated with zombies. Despite her death, fans should be pleased to know that they have not see the last of Andrea. "The Walking Dead" is chockfull of flashbacks that shed light on its characters and add depth to the show. Andrea is likely to be featured in short snippets throughout season 4 via flashbacks, but could also return in another fashion.

According to Examiner, on May 22, the Facebook page dedicated to Laurie Holden fans posed the question "Do you think Andrea will appear as a ghost when The Walking Dead returns in October?" The question generated a slew a responses, most of the debunking the speculation, however fans did offer their own thoughts on Andrea's return.

Most agree that Holden will appear in flashbacks, however, others believe she could return as a hallucination. After Lori's death, Rick continually suffered from hallucinations of his wife. This could be the case for Michonne, as we we've learned through season 3 flashbacks that her and Andrea had a very strong relationship. Michonne has also admited to Rick that she still sees the dead. Signs point to a potential supernatural reunion between Michonne and Andrea, however, it's even more likely that we'll learn more about their past history in the upcoming fourth season.

As previously reported, Robert Kirkman, "The Walking Dead" comic book writer and creator, says that there is "definitely some room [for] the relationship between Michonne and Andrea, it's always possibly."

Holden expressed similar sentiments. "Anything's possible. Who knows what they have up their sleeve? There may be scenes of Andrea and Michonne that the audience wanted to see. You may see more of renegade-Robert-Kirkman-badass-Andrea."

Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" will return to AMC in October 2013.
