It's tough meeting people, specifically in cities. There are so many people constantly on the go that it's difficult to approach someone new. It's nerve racking. Although there's a common conception of meeting your significant other or simply a one-night stand at a bar, that's not too often the case, especially once your 20s have come and gone. It's hard being alone, and it could be helpful if there were more opportunities to link up with other singles in fast paced cities away from the typical bar and speed dating scene, and it looks like Prague might have the answer.

Prague plans to introduce singles-only subway cars to help its daily commuters find love while they embark on their dull, monotonous journeys. Not only will it serve as a new platform to meet other singles, but it will also spice up your ride to and from work. It's a win-win. Czech railway operator Ropid hopes the proposed love trains will also entice people to ride the subway instead of driving their cars, which can be harmful to the environment, lonely and dangerous. It would also boost sales for the city's subway system and in turn provide more revenue and jobs to the city, however, its primary purpose is to invoke a love connection.

"We want to emphasize that public transportation is not only a means of travel but that you can do things there that you cannot do in your car," said Ropid spokesperson Filip Drapal.

Ropid will begin polling subway passengers soon to gauge their interest in the project. If commuters respond positively, the singles-only train carriages could launch sometime this year.

It seems like a rather odd way to meet someone. For starters, it can be difficult to openly admit you're single and looking, and secondly, once you're on the train surrounded by other commuters searching for companions, how do you break the ice? You can't just sit there reading the morning news. There's a reason you chose the singles-only car. And what if it organically becomes the all-male car? Regardless, if the plan is realized, the daily commute to work for Prague singles just got a whole lot more interesting.
