Kevin Conroy is making this Arkham situation a heck of a lot more confusing. Conroy is one of the many voice actors who have portrayed Batman over the years, but to many, he is by far the best.

Back at the Dallas Comic-Con, Conroy confirmed that he would appear in a future Arkham game.

"I can talk about it now, we've been working for about nine to 10 months on the next Arkham," Conroy said.

Things became weird when Arkham Origins was announced, leaving everyone to assume that this was the game Conroy was referring to. Just recently, Warner Bros clarified the situation, stating that Origins' caped crusader would not be voiced by Kevin Conroy and had instead hired Roger Craig Smith.

So what is this game that Conroy has been working on for nine months?

Taking to Twitter recently, Conroy sent out a message reading, "Confusion in Dallas! I am in a new ARKHAM GAME coming soon, NOT ARKHAM ORIGINS coming this fall."

The Tweet has since been deleted, but Warner Bros. public relations rep Gary Miereanu has confirmed that it came from Conroy's official Twitter account.

If Conroy is correct, which we can assume he is considering he's been on the project for almost a year, that means that yet another Arkham title is already well into development. Considering Arkham Origins is being released for current gen platforms, it can be surmised that this next game might be aimed at a next gen release.

This makes some sense considering the surprise development that Rocksteady Studios was not developing Arkham Origins. Instead, it had been handed off to an internal Warner Bros. studio.

Could WB be working with a Call of Duty-esque development strategy? It is very possible that Arkahm could become the company's yearly AAA franchise, with Rocksteady and Warner Bros. each releasing an entry every other year.

Either way, this purported Conroy game is completely unannounced and therefore, completely unofficial until we know more.
