The hip-hop messiah has announced his return. Rapper Kanye West will be making his comeback to the music scene with his new album titled Yeezus. In the past, each of West's albums has shown a new side of arrogance and flamboyancy, which has been received with a mix of respect and frustration. Nonetheless, his music and personality have launched him to superstardom and has dubbed him one of the most alluring and prolific rappers of all time. His new album title, Yeezus (one of West's aliases is Yeezy), is a perfect example. But despite his arrogance, fans are already raving about the album and West's antics surrounding its release.

On Friday, West took an innovative approach to promoting Yeezus. In 66 cities across the globe, he projected a new song and video on various buildings, giving fans and unsuspecting bystanders their very first glimpse of his upcoming album. The song is called "New Slaves" and can be listened to in full below.

West followed up with a performance for the ages on Saturday Night Live the next night. He performed two songs, "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead," both of which are presumed to appear on the forthcoming album. Check out the performances below.

Although West never mentioned an official release date amongst all the hype, his superstar girlfriend Kim Kardashian instagrammed a photo of the potential album artwork and wrote "#Yeezus #RedYeezy's #SNL #Tonight #NewSlaves #YeezySeason #Donda #June18." Although nothing is 'official official,' it's safe to assume that, based on Kardashian's tweet and previous rumors, that album will hit stores June 18.

The album will serve as a follow-up to 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and is said to feature a slew of guest artists including Daft Punk, Skrillex, Chief Keef, Young Chop, TNGHT and Odd Future.

We're now less than a month away from West's Yeezus, so brace yourselves, It's going to be a bumpy ride.
