The weekend will be jam-packed with NHL action as the remaining teams continue their quest for the Stanley Cup.

On Friday, the Pittsburgh Penguins were powered by superstar Sidney Crosby's hat trick of three goals as the Penguins beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in Game 2 at the CONSOL Energy center in Pittsburgh, Penn., to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Now in the drivers' seat, the Penguins could go up 3-0 when the series shifts to Ottawa on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Detroit Red Wings pulled even with the Chicago Blackhawks thanks to a two goals from Damien Brunner and Brendan Smith in the second period to pull a 4-1 win out in Game 2. The win, a mirrored score of the mark by which Chicago won Game 1, pulls the series even at one game apiece for each team.

The action continues Saturday when the L.A. Kings visit the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., to take on the San Jose Sharks. The Kings pulled ahead 2-0 in the series thanks to a pair of Kings power play goals in Game 2. Now, the Sharks look to take one game and cut the Kings' series lead in half, while the defending Stanley Cup Champions seek to throw the Sharks into a nearly-inescapable 0-3 hole. Can the Kings get one step closer to the Eastern Conference Finals or do the Sharks still have some bite left in them?

Then on Sunday, a pair of critical games heat up the NHL ice, beginning in Boston, where the New York Rangers visit the Boston Bruins. After winning Game 1 to take a 1-0 series lead, Boston has things going for them in the right direction. However, the Rangers would love nothing more than to take back home ice advantage with Game 3 on Tuesday to be held back at historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. Will the Rangers even the series, or will Boston gain a 2-0 advantage?

Then, later in the day, the Ottawa Senators host the Pittsburgh Penguins for Game 3 of their semifinal series. Crosby came alive in Game 2 with a sensational hat trick to power the Penguins to a 2-0 lead in the series. But with home ice advantage on their side, the Senators will seek to take a game in the hopes of climbing back into the series now that they have the home ice for the next two games.
