Destiny, the newest game from former Halo developers Bungie, has only been confirm for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, leading to rumors of what other systems the ambitious game could call home. Rumors about a Wii U, next-gen Xbox, PC, and Vita version of the game have all circulated around at one point or another. Well, a supposed leak for the Vita version of the game has been debunked by Bungie, and they claim the game is not coming to the PlayStation Vita at all.

IGN first reported that a promotional image found on PSU was indeed false. The image promotes the title Destiny of Spirits, with the Destiny logo in the background. However, Bungie, pointing out the outdated Bungie logo, stated that "when we actually announce something, we'll use our current logo."

The image may be a reference to the recent trademark Sony filed for the name Destiny of Spirits. Many believed this could be the title for a handheld Destiny game. However, that story had some flaws, namely that Sony was filing for the trademark, and not Bungie. If the game were to be actually coming out, then Bungie would have to trademark the title. Since Sony grabbed the trademark, they would own Destiny of Spirits, not Bungie.

Bungie has been working hard to bring forth the world of Destiny, and the game promises to be truly epic, with players exploring an abandoned Earth, as well as the Moon and several other planets in the solar system. Bungie recently spoke about how NASA influenced the design of the game. In addition, Bungie recently updated their website detailing more about the setting of the game and character classes that will be available to players when the game is eventually available. The game is slated for a 2014 release, though when in 2014 remains a mystery.
