"Rosa Diamante" of Telemundo will premiere July10th at 8:30 p.m. ET and will share the timeslot with "Maid Manhattan", a telenovela based on the film starring Jennifer Lopez.

The telenovela written by Enrique Torres is based on the Argentine novela "Perla Negra" and was produced by the Telemundo studios.

"Diamante" will star Mauricio Ochmann (El Clon), Carla Hernandez and Lupita Ferrer (Eva Luna).

The Telenovela tells the story of Rosa (Carla Hernandez), a young woman who does not know who her parents or family is and does not know how she ended up in the best schools. At school, she meets her best friend Eva Sotomayor who becomes her only family.

Through her experiences she cherishes friendships and loyalties which lead her through a journey to discover her past, which as she does she meets the love of her life, Gerardo Altamirano (Mauriucio Ochmann), an ambitious and intelligent man.

This will be Carla Hernandez's first Telenovela on Telemundo. Mauricio Ochmann last appeared in Telemundo's "El Clon" as well as on the network's "Victoria", "Victorinos" and "Dame Chocolate" shows. He also appeared in "Marina" although he was forced to resign due to addiction issues.

Lupita Ferrer returns to Telemundo after a four year hiatus. Her last production with the studio was "Pecados Ajena". During this absence she worked for rival network Univision on "Eva Luna" and "Mujeres Asesinas 4".
