An Arizona State University student was found drunk and unconscious at a hospital lobby with only a Post It note asking doctors to help him.

Police at Tempe, Arizona reported that the 19-year-old student was found on a wheelchair at the St. Luke's Hospital emergency lobby early Saturday morning. A sticky note was posted on his body saying that he had been drinking and needed medical assistance.

"I've been drinking and I need some help," the note stated, reported the police station reported as published by CBS News.

Hospital staff saw the student and readily aided him.

Sgt. Michael Pooley said the ASU student was drinking earlier in the night with his fraternity brothers. Taking part in a drinking competition, the student had consumed over 20 shots of tequila. KPHO reported that after the drinking spree, the man passed out, started shaking and then he turned blue.

A member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, Sgt. Pooley said the fraternity brothers of the victim initially wanted to bring him at one of their homes for fear of being entangled with the law. Instead, the men brought the 19-year-old victim to the hospital and left him there with a note for help.

At 0.47, the student had close to six times higher than the legal limit for driving.

The case is still under investigation by the Tempe Police; however, the Washington post report confirmed that the drinking event was not an officially sanctioned fraternity gathering and was just a fraternity night out with some friends.

CBS News reports that the under-aged Arizona State-student will be charged on the grounds of consuming alcohol as a minor. As for his friends, the Washington Post says it is unlikely that they would be charged with any criminal offence.

This is not the first time that the fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, is creating headlines. In November 2012, fraternity member, Jack Culolias, was found dead in the Salt River in Tempe. According to the Post, the 19-year-old ASU student was also drinking out with his fraternity brothers when he was kicked out of the bar. This was where he was last seen before the student's death.
