Battery problems following Apple's latest iOS update continue for iPhone 5 owners.

As Latinos Post reported earlier this week, iPhone 5 owners have taken to Apple's Support Communities to share their experiences following the installation of iOS update version 6.1.4.

The iOS 6.1.4 update was released last week, exclusively for the iPhone 5 with the purpose to improve the audio profile for the speakerphone.

Since the update's rollout, owners have complained about experiencing battery drainages.

Apple has not provided a post on the thread in regards to the first set of comments and since then, the stories continue.

"Yep, I am getting this as well," wrote Anhedral. "As soon as I installed 6.1.3 and [iOS 6.1.4] onto my iPhone 5 and I've seen the battery life diminish more than substantially, it's bordering on ridiculous! [I've] installed the same update on my wife's phone, so I'm going to see if she has had the same problem."

According to jamiedaniel, following a visit to the Mac Store, he was told by an Apple Genius that the problem stems from an engineering broadcast from the Cupertino-based company and Apple is aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

"Would be nice to know if Apple actually has this listed as an issue, right?" jamiedaniel added.

"I had the same problem since I downloaded IOS 6.1.4, I mean, battery began to spend 1 [percent] every minute, even in standby," shared Hramiro. "I was oriented by the Apple costumer service to back up and restore to factory standard version. I did as instructed, after that I downloaded my usual apps again. The battery kept falling again."

Hramiro added he was then instructed to take his iPhone to a technical assistant, as it may be hardware problem.

"By myself I restored again and did not downloaded apps. The battery is back to normal, maybe some application is in conflict with the new version of IOS."
