New rumors say the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is slated for release sometime during the third quarter of this year, putting its debut in July, August or September.

The unnamed inside sources are vague, so a release date anytime in the second half of this year is also possible.

However, those same sources say the Galax Note 3 will have a 5.99-inch screen, on the high end of previous rumors.

"Samsung is expected to roll out its Galaxy Note 3 in the second half. The new flagship model will be powered by a Exynos 5 octa-core processor and come with a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display supporting 1080p Full HD resolution, indicated the sources," said DigiTimes.

The screen type hasn't been mentioned before in previous rumors.

In addition, DigiTimes says two other flagship smartphones are due out in the same timeframe.

"Having launched its latest flagship model, the Optimus G Pro, recently, LG is expected to release a new flagship, the Optimus G2, in the second half of the year. The Optimus G2 will come with a 5-inch Full HD display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor," said DigiTimes.

That matches info found on the Sprint website earlier this week, though there was speculation that the information referred to the Optimus G Pro, which now seems incorrect.

HTC may also release the Butterfly 2, incorporating much of the high-end of the tech from the HTC One.

The Galaxy Note 3 is still a long way off, but rumors indicate it will have a 5.9-inch or 6-inch screen with an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, an eight-core Mali 450 graphics processing unit, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, a bigger battery and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
