There are only two episodes remaining in season four of "The Vampire Diaries" and, to no one's surprise, Mystic Falls is on the brink of disaster. What else is new? In a recent photo from the season finale, Caroline (Candice Accola) is caught in what appears to be an intense, intimate situation with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), sparking curious "Vampire Diaries" chatter from Klaroline fans.

During an interview with Hollywood Life at the annual Tick-Born Disease Alliance benefit, Accola admitted that she'd never seen the photo before and spilled some details about Caroline and Klaus in the final episodes.

"We will see Klaus return to Mystic Falls before the end of the season, and Caroline will find out that he's moved to New Orleans," Accola said. "But she won't understand the reason why."

It looks like she won't find out about Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus's relationship. This opens up a world of possibilities. Perhaps Caroline will get back together with Tyler (Michael Trevino) after Klaus splits from Mystic Falls.

"As far as the end of season four, Caroline is going to learn this valuable lesson: Sometimes when you get what you want, it's not actually what you want." We've all been there before, and now it's Caroline's turn to face the hard truth. Based on the photo of her and Klaus from the season finale, it looks like his return will conjure up some complicated feelings.

"I don't think they'll ever be satisfied," Accola said. That's too bad, because many "Vampire Diaries" fans have rooted for Caroline and Klaus to make things work from the beginning.

"I get the naughtiest formulated pictures sent to my Twitter," she said. "Or sometimes, I'll just be curious, so I'll look online to see what fans are thinking about. It gets weird. It gets really, really weird... My poor boyfriend is like, 'Wow, they get really aggressive. Those are some inappropriate pictures."

Although her boyfriend is subject to suggestive Twitter photos, it's hard to feel much sympathy for him. He's still got one of Mystic Falls' finest catches on his arm.

Accola may have shed some light on how Caroline and Klaus's complicated relationship will come to an end in the season finale, but many looming questions remain, and fans will have to wait for the final two episodes to get the answers.

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursday nights on The CW.
