Undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has once again lived up to his 'Money' moniker after the five-division champion tied his previous record of $32 million in guaranteed money for his upcoming welterweight clash with Robert 'the Ghost' Guerrero at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.

When: Saturday, May 4, 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT - Main event 11 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. ET
Where: MGM Grand in Las Vegas

According to ESPN.com, Mayweather will pocket a contract minimum of $32 million for the second straight fight. The Grand Rapids native first set the fight purse record when he cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Miguel Cotto last year.

Golden Boy Promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer said Mayweather is expected to rake in more money in the coming days with 90 percent of the pay-per-view and merchandise buys going into the boxer's account.

"I think when you see a total like that it speaks for itself," Schaefer told ESPN.com on Friday. "He has established clearly that level of $32 million as a guarantee and remember: He will make much more after everything is counted because he keeps 90 percent of the profit from the event. The $32 million is just the contract minimum. The bulk of everything else goes to him."

Mayweather, who was the highest-paid athlete with earnings of $85 million in last year's Forbes Magazine money list, is in great position of further padding his wealth when he fights for the second time this year on September 14.

Mayweather has been racking up big paychecks over the last three years, pocketing $25 million against Victor Ortiz, $22 million in the fight against Shane Mosley, and $32 million against Cotto.

WBC interim champion Guerrero will earn the richest paycheck of his career at $3 million, plus his share in the pay-per-view buys.

Meanwhile, Juan Ponce De Leon and Abner Mares will collect $375,000 apiece when they square it off inside the ring for the featherweight title.
