May 21 is quickly approaching. The wait is almost over. It's been eight years since Daft Punk have released a new studio album, and now, the wait is almost over. In just over three weeks, Random Access Memories will hit stores and redefine electronic dance music forever, if it lives up to the hype that is. That's a hefty accomplishment, but if anyone's capable, it's Daft Punk. Regardless, in anticipation of its release, the synth pop duo has released a series of interviews with collaborators who had a helping hand in the new album. Episodes have featured Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Panda Bear and Giorgio Moroder, among others. The most recent episode however, interviews the most important collaborator of them all: Andrew the Pizza Guy.

When Daft Punk are working in the studio, they need fuel to keep their genius running. They can't redefine electronic music on an empty stomach. Therefore, the people who feed them in the studio are just as important as the people working with them. Their nourishment plays a pivotal role in their creativity, and comedian Eugene Cordero sits down with Funny or Die to talk about it.

Cordero plays Andrew the Pizza Guy, an employee at Padre's Pizza in Scottsdale, Arizona in the parody interview. His character recalls an incident where Daft Punk came and ordered "literally the biggest pizza we had."

As Cordero continues, he references common themes established in previous collaborator interviews, putting his own Pizza Guy spin on it. "It was like they captured everything that made pizza great in the 70s, and then completely made it their own. But at the same time, you know, this pizza is a modern masterpiece." The ridiculous of his statement is actually spot-on. Although Cordero pokes fun at what people are saying about the new Daft Punk album, it makes you step back and realize that some of the critics and collaborators are talking in circles, jaded by their own coolness.
