Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero is very optimistic about his chance in his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. that he even asked the undefeated American boxer to use his rematch clause right away.

Guerrero, the interim World Boxing Council welterweight champion, believes Mayweather will be no match to him when two of the best boxers in the division square off inside the ring.

The 30-year-old Guerrero even assured of giving Mayweather his first loss in a stellar boxing career, asking the Grand Rapids native to take the rematch clause in the contract in effect.

"I'm going to go in there and beat him down on May 4th. He should just worry about getting ready for the rematch at this point. Be ready to be shocked," Guerrero said during a press conference on Monday, as reported by Fighting News.

Moreover, Guerrero said he's not one of those handpicked fighters for Mayweather, who's notorious for picking washed-out overly matched opponents.

"For one, I'm not one of Mayweather's hand-picked opponents. We're not making an attempt. We're going to come out victorious on Saturday night. We Latinos have pressure all the time. We have pressure when we fight all the time. We're going to come out and take care of business. All you're going to hear is 'May Day, May Day, Guerrero's in the ring.' That's it," Guerrero said during the press conference.

Guerrero added he's the kind of fighter that could give problems to Mayweather.

However, many boxing analyst believes that Guerrero appears to be another product of poor match-making and the Mexican boxer will be am easy prey to Mayweather's superior boxing skills.

On the other hand, Mayweather's legitimacy as a true pound-for-pound king will be in question again primarily because of fighting boxers that don't possess the speed and power to at least give fans some thrill.
