"If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."

The creators of "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" created an instant cult classic in 2004. The film spawned a new obsession with the offbeat sport and provided our generation with countless one-liners that we'll repeat until we die. The feel-good movie brings us back to a time when things were simple and careless. It reminds us of our youth and the values of comradery. Few comedy movies have matched the timeless good vibes of "Dodgeball," and now it's happening all over again.

That's right, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn are pairing up once again to star in the long-awaited "Dodgeball" sequel. Stiller has recently signed on guitarist Clay Tarver to work on a script for "Dodgeball 2," according The Hollywood Reporter.

Clay played lead guitar in a rock band called Bullet LaVolta in the 80s but began writing screenplays in the 90s. He's most known for his work on "Joy Ride."

The original "Dodgeball" stars Stiller and Vaughn as rival gym owners. Stiller wants control of Vaughn's small, humble gym to use a parking lot for his own super gym across the street. The two can't come to a reasonable conclusion, much due to Stiller's stubborn and inept character, so Vaughn signs up for a dodgeball tournament in hopes to raise the money needed to save his gym. Once Stiller catches on to his plan, he too joins the tournament, backed by a team of ruthless dodgeball killers.

The film also stars Justin Long, Rip Thorn and Stiller's wife, Christine Taylor. Not to mention there are incredible cameo appearances from Jason Batman, William Shatner and, you guessed it, David Hasselhoff. It earned more than $114 million at the U.S. box office and nearly $168 million worldwide.

It's rumored that in "Dodgeball 2," Stiller and Vaughn will have to "team up to fight an even bigger threat." In the first installment, the two gym owners couldn't stand the sight of one another, so it will be interesting to see how they settle their differences in the sequel.

The movie is only in the infant stages. The script has yet to be written, but the excitement is already too much to bear. We simply cannot wait.
