The past several weeks have proved that the "Justice League of America" movie is still up in the air. Warner Bros. has experienced problems with director Christopher Nolan, who doesn't want the movie to compromise the universe he created in his "The Dark Knight" trilogy. There have also been circulating rumors concerning who will play whom. Christian Bale as Batman? Henry Cavill as Superman? Or even Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern? These are all justified rumors, yet nothing has been confirmed. "Justice League of America" is on its way, it's just getting a slow start.

Finally, we've received some news that we can sink our teeth into. In a recent interview, Ruben Fleischer was asked if he's still interested in directing "Justice League." His name has been tossed among others as potential directors, but he responded by saying "that's something that Zack Snyder is going to wind up doing."

Although Fleischer seems confident that Snyder will get the job, he doesn't confirm that Warner Bros. has made the official decision. He may "wind up doing" it, but it appears nothing is set in stone. Fleischer could be making an assumption, or he could be hinting at information that has yet to go public.

Snyder's "Man of Steel" will hit theatres June 14 and promises to be one of the summer's biggest releases. If the movie succeeds, Snyder would get a major boost in the running for "Justice League" director. He's got the experience, he's got the clout, now all he needs is the title. Especially if Cavill signs on as Superman, there's no reason for Warner Bros. not to bring Snyder on board.

It's not entirely clear what Warner Bros. is planning for "Justice League of America," but at least things are beginning to come into focus. The movie is still a ways off, but that doesn't mean we can't start gearing up now.
