'Grey's Anatomy' Season 9 Episode 21 Spoilers, Promo: "Sleeping Monster"

After a far too long hiatus, "Grey's Anatomy" returns this Thursday for an emotional and drama-filled episode entitled "Sleeping Monster." During the last episode, "She's Killing Me," fans witnessed as Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and the rest of the staff at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital discovered that she may be the cause of some post-op infections and deaths of her patients. 

This week's episode will continue to tackle how everyone is dealing with Bailey's medical and legal problems. ABC teases, "Bailey finds herself at the center of a CDC investigation surrounding the death of several of her patients, as Jackson and the rest of the board members argue over how to address the crisis with the public." In a promo for the upcoming episode, fans can see how members of the board of Grey Sloan Memorial are struggling between their love for Bailey as her friends and their responsibilities as Bailey's bosses. 

Meanwhile, Christina (Sandra Oh) will tease Alex (Justin Chambers) about his on-going crush on intern Jo (Camilla Luddington), ABC teases. Chief of Staff Owen (Kevin McKidd) will continue to take care of little Ethan, whose parents were injured in a blast. Sneak peak photos of the episode also show some tension between April (Sarah Drew) and ex-fling Jackson (Jesse Williams), which may have something to do with her recent break-up. 

Fans will also get to see "All My Children" actress Jennifer Bassey play Nancy Dawson in this week's and next week's episodes. While we don't want to spill too much about next week's episode, entitled "Do You Believe in Magic," we can say that "White Collar" actress Hillary Burton and "Sunset Beach" actor Jason George will be making an appearance.
