As November 22 approaches, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" news continues to pour in. After the official trailer debut last Sunday at the MTV Music Awards, fans have been drooling over the dazzling imagery, enticing action and glamorous stars amidst extravagant set design. It proves that "Catching Fire" will be better than its predecessor and mark "The Hunger Games" as one of our generation's greatest sagas. One of the film's biggest stars, Liam Hemsworth, is sure of it.
On Thursday, Hemsworth spoke with other members of "The Hunger Games" crew during a look-ahead movie presentation. The event was designed to promote the summer's biggest blockbusters, and even though "Catching Fire" doesn't hit theaters until November, its popularity earned it a spot on the night's roster.
Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthrone, promised that director Francis Lawrence is "not going to disappoint anyone." The film wrapped shooting earlier this year, but now that it's on the editing table, Francis Lawrence is "furiously" cutting the film.
Unfortunately, there was no sign of Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the heroic Katniss Everdeen. In the first movie, Katniss volunteers to compete in the 74th Hunger Games and becomes an instant hero and revolutionary symbol. Her rise to fame frightens the Games' organizers, which becomes apparent in "Catching Fire" as they begin to plot her death. We couldn't be more excited.
In other exciting Jennifer Lawrence news, the most recent issue of TIME dubbed the young starlet one of the 100 most influential people in the world - those who inspire, entertain and challenge us. She even received the honor of gracing the cover photo. Here's a brief excerpt from her cover story:
