Season six of HBO's "True Blood" may prove to be quite unstable for characters in Bon Temps. The end of last season left fans wondering what would come of beloved characters which could mean some meeting their demise. There is even an episode titled "The Funeral" to air on July 28 that offers writers the opportunity to deliver "the true death." Speaking of writers - creator Alan Ball stepped down as showrunner to take less of a hands-on roll. Given this shake-up occurred after last season, how will it affect new episodes?

Joe Manganiello who plays pack leader Alcide Herveaux might have given away a secret that could make some fans very angry. Should we expect main characters to die? "We're in the middle of episode six, moving right along," reveals Manganiello. "Right now, we still have the big cast with the big table-reads, but pretty soon everybody's going to start getting knocked off!" If anyone is fair game - who do you think will die?

The teaser trailer of "True Blood" season six has Eric and Sookie trying to escape the Authority headquarters now that Bill Compton has transformed into "Bilith" after ingesting the blood of Lilith ("the first vampire"). We later see him leaving his mansion now in flames saying, "You're all gonna burn."

"If the humans want war, we'll give them war," notes Eric. Whoa - talk about shift as Bill (or Bilith) is no longer the only entity to fear. Even with protestors, humans typically have not been a threat to vampires. Why would Eric say this? Who is starting a war? On a recent interview on "Live with Kelly and Michael," Alexander Skarsgård informed America that his character Eric Northman will be very busy this season as humans become "a real threat." Will Jason Stackhouse's new disgust of vampires force him to rise against them? Who are the people that capture Pam and Tara at Fangtasia?

While we don't have answers on what's in store for season six, there have been new guest starts confirmed. Rutger Hauer ("Blade Runner" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") joins as Macklyn, a man who has questionable ties to the Stackhouse family. Anna Camp returns as Sarah Newlin, the former wife of Rev. Steve Newlin - now a gay vampire which could turn into an interesting fight for Jason Stackhouse's affection. Tyler Perry's "Temptation" star Jurnee Smollett-Bell also joins the sixth season cast as Nicole Jannsen.

Could it be this "is the beginning of the end?"

"True Blood" season six premieres June 16 on HBO.
