Some new information about the highly anticipated Battlefield 4 has apparently been leaked, confirming that at least one mode from previous Battlefield games will make a return to the first-person shooter due out sometime later this year. The information comes via a YouTube video detailing promotional material from two GameStop stores.

The poster in question would confirm that Commander Mode would make it's return to the series, after last being seen in the 2006 game Battlefield 2142. This mode would allow players the chance to direct others in a top-down view. It will be interesting to see how players take to the returning mode, considering that Battlefield 3's co-op campaign has been dropped.

In addition to Commander Mode, the promotional material also states that the three factions in the game will be the United States, Russia, and China, and that customers who preorder the game at GameStop will get the first expansion for the game for free once it becomes available.

While some may be doubtful of this kind of leak, the newest set of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC was also foretold through in-store promotional material, so this very well could be accurate information. Battlefield 4 was recently confirmed by DICE and EA, and a 17-minute-long gameplay clip was released to showcase the game's Frostbite 3 Engine. While we do not know when the game is coming out, we do know that the game has been confirmed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. However, it is highly likely that the game will also show up on next-gen consoles as well. More details about the game could trickle out during June's E3 convention, or EA could book another one-off event for the game like the one in March.
