British Actor Anthony Daniels recently revealed that C3PO may appear in the upcoming Star Wars film.

Daniels who portrayed the gold plated droid in the last two trilogies stated, "Look, it's all very early days and I don't want to wear anybody out by speculating or letting you waste your energy by saying 'What do you think? "I'm certainly not sitting by the phone, but it's always nice when it rings. Do you know what I mean?."

When asked about the prospect of a new trilogy produced by Disney, the actor said that is was "wonderful" and added "It never occurred to me that it would happen. Daniels also stated that director J.J Abrams was the best for the job. He said, "The old Star Trek thing is pretty good isn't it? He clearly knows how to make it all work and put it all together. But again that's pie-in-the-sky to a certain extent that is the future."

Daniels also suggested that during the Star Wars Celebration that will be held in Germany in July there would be more revealed. He told the Digital Spy "There'll probably be the odd talk about it"
