Is he or isn't he? Harrison Ford has repeatedly been asked whether he will reprise his role of Han Solo in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7." The thespian has been quiet about his interest or potential involvement and continued to keep his mouth shut during an interview with "Good Morning America" anchor Elizabeth Vargas.

"I don't know if I'm going to be invited to the party, but we'll see," Ford told Vargas.

Back in mid-March, the thespian told a reporter in Chicago that he was involved. "I think it's almost true. I think... I'm looking forward to it. It's not in the bag yet, but I think it's happening," Ford stated when asked about reprising the role of Han Solo.

However, a few weeks later on a press tour Ford was quiet about his involvement and even stated at one point that he didn't want to talk about.

Series creator George Lucas had confirmed that Ford was contacted about the role and during an interview with Bloomberg Business week. "We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison -- or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on. Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them. I won't say whether the negotiations were successful or not."

Ford's recent attitudes indicate that negotiations possible did not go as planned. It is also possible that he has been getting the run-around from the film's producers as "Star Wars" co-star Mark Hamill stated previously. "They're talking to us," Hamill said in an interview. "George [Lucas] wanted to know whether we'd be interested. He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts - they would write us out. ... I can tell you right away that we haven't signed any contracts. We're in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm. Both have had meetings set that were postponed -- on their end, not mine. They're more busy than I am."

"Episode 7" is slated for a 2015 release and will be directed by JJ Abrams. The script is still being written and it is possible that the role of Han Solo could be left out of the final draft.
