It appears as though Warner Bros.' "Justice League" movie may not be getting too much justice after all. Last month, Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale were rumored to return to work in the film, but it now appears as though those rumors were, well, just rumors.

Latino Review recently appeared on the "Schmoes Know Movies" podcast to address the issue, saying that the studio was preparing to welcome back Nolan and Bale with open arms. Unfortunately, the studio is now having difficulties locking in Nolan. The original plan was to have Bale return as Batman while Nolan produced, but this didn't sit well with Nolan, who doesn't want "Justice League of America" to affect the continuity of his Batman films.

Nolan and Bale worked together throughout the entire Warner Bros.' Batman series. Their "The Dark Knight Rises" became one of 2012's most celebrated films. So naturally, Warner Bros. believes that the duo could do spectacular things with the Justice League movie. Nolan, however, doesn't want "Justice League of America" to be reminiscent of the Batman franchise. The studio also aspires to set the film in the same universe as Nolan's "Dark Knight" Trilogy, another tie to Batman that the director hopes to cut.

Bale mentioned that he would be thrilled to appear as Batman once again, as long as the script was right. "I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work," he said.

Henry Cavilll, who played Superman in Nolan's "Man of Steel," was also rumored to appear in the Justice League movie, but once again, Nolan expressed similar reservations. Superman would appear alongside Batman in "Justice League of America," completely contradicting the universe established in both the Superman and Batman films.

Things aren't looking good for "Justice League of America," but if anyone can pull off a superhero movie, it's Warner Bros. So not to worry "Justice League" fans, they'll find a way to make it happen.
