Jessica Chastain has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro's new film "Crimson Peak."

The Academy Award Nominee joins Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam. Plots details have not been revealed as del Toro and Lucinda Coxon are working through a rewrite after del Toro and Matthew Robins originally penned it.

The role re-teams Chastain with del Toro who executive produced this year's horror movie "Mama." Chastain was last seen in Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Lawless" with Gary Oldman and Shia Labeouf. She was also seen in the Oscar nominated movies "The Tree of Life" and "The Help."

The actress is currently getting ready to star in "Tarzan" and "Miss Julie" and will next be seen in "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" with James McAvoy.

Del Toro is currently finishing up his new film "Pacific Rim" which is slated for the summer. He is currently in pre-production for "Pinocchio," and "Hellboy 3." He last directed 2008's "Hellboy 2:The Golden Army."

Cumberbatch will next be seen in "Star Trek: Into Darkness" and "August Osage County" with Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper, and Julia Roberts. Stone was last seen in "Gangster Squad" and voiced the role of Eep in "The Croods." She is currently working the "Amazing Spider-Man 2." Hunnam will next be seen in "Pacific Rim and currently stars in the TV show "Sons of Anarchy."

Legendary Pictures will produce and be a participating financing partner on "Crimson Peak, with Universal Pictures retaining an option to finance at a later date. The film is set to begin shooting in February 2014.
