Madison Avenue will get a strong dose of classy this Sunday evening as the AMC original series "Mad Men" returns. The notoriously slow-moving series began to pick up steam in its fifth season and left fans on the edge of their seats. But not to worry, Don will be back in full-form, drowning his sorrows in whisky this weekend. Here's a brief look at what's to come.

Show creator Matthew Weiner told Entertainment Weekly recently, "The whole story of the season is the answer to 'Are you alone?' It does not have to do with women at the bar. It doesn't mean lonely." Season five ended as Don (Jon Hamm) is asked "Are you alone?" leaving fans to ponder the ominous question. It's a loaded question that Don has struggled with since the beginning.

Episode one of season six is called "The Doorway" and begins as "Don spearheads a new campaign; Roger gets unsettling news; Betty takes in a houseguest" according to the official AMC synopsis.

"The episode is about how you're perceived," Weiner said. "All of these people are facing their exact same problems, but they're doing it again, and they're wondering 'Is it me?' A lot of the season is talking about why and how to deal with that duality of 'I'm looking at myself and I don't like it. What's wrong with me? Can I change?'"

Weiner said that the new season "will advance in time, as it does. I can't say how much or how little. We're coming off a period in Don [Draper]'s life where he's trying to normalize, and trying to have this relationship - a real relationship with this woman [Megan] that he fell in love with. She expressed her desires [to return to acting] and that was a surprise for him. On this show, it's a very rich, full orchestra, and we like to follow what is the next stage in these people's lives."

E! News also leaked some juicy details on what we can expect from episode one. Fans should prepare for an extravagant wedding, two deaths, skimpy bikinis and Betty's new look. It's going to be an ambitious first episode and will suck viewers back in with one fell swoop. Megan's will also get a boost of confidence when a fan recognizes her in the street and asks for an autograph. Her acting career must have taken off since season five.

Weiner did mention that the new season would jump ahead in time. It looks like a lot's happened since last season's finale. The looming question remains however, who's wedding is it? No one too exciting unfortunately, however Don does gets another dose of his haunted past upon meeting a man who's getting married the next day but is shipping off to Vietnam.

Could we learn more of Don's haunted past in season six? It appears that way, but the only way to be sure is to sit down and enjoy the series' return this Sunday on AMC at 9 p.m.
