Chelsea is no longer a part of the Champions league and will not win the Premier League. Despite these failures, Coach Rafa Benitez insists that his team is having a good season.
"We're in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, quarter-finals of the Europa League. It's a great season at the moment. It could be even better," he stated.
"My priority is the top four and trying to win the next game, in the Europa League," Benitez added. "The race for the top four will be until the end of the season. We're in the top four with one game in hand so we're in a very good position."
Chelsea forward Demba Ba added that the team's main goal is to win trophies.
"We always talk about trophies. That has to be the aim. The top four is very important but we want a trophy," he added. "When you retire, no-one probably remembers that you finished in the top four. They remember you won a trophy. It's important for a player that you win a trophy.
Regarding his team's recent play in the two competitions, Ba added, "We are looking very good in two competitions - the Europa League and the FA Cup - and we are going to do everything to win them both."
Chelsea lost its first leg of the round of 16 against Steaua Bucharest but bounced back with a 3-1 win in the second leg.
Rubin Kazan took down Atletico Madrid in the Round of 32 by an aggregate score of 2-1 and then took down Levante in the Round of 16 by a combined score of 2-0.
Prediction: Chelsea wins Round one 1-0.
