A week after Nokia released a firmware update in the U.S., Europe is now receiving the same Lumia 920 update.

The "1308" firmware update has been found in Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It is the same update that featured an enhancement to proximity sensor parameters, improved automatic display brightness adjustment, and performance improvements when U.S. carrier AT&T rolled it out last week..

According to WMPowerUser, readers noted the firmware update was detected in Czech Republic, France, Slovakia, and with U.K. carriers EE and Orange, to name a few.

It remains to be seen from European Lumia 920 smartphone owners if the update would bring the same difficulties many U.S. customers have experienced.

As Latinos Post reported, Lumia 920 owners have reached out to social media and websites such as Reddit to question about the latest firmware update's "improvements."

Reddit member Clyderd wrote, "My [Lumia 920] has been having a difficult time connecting to AT&T since the firmware update. It was going in and out, it shows the bars but I am unable to send or receive texts or anything else without being on WiFi. Anyone else had this happen to them?"

"Ever since the update my LTE keeps dropping to no service and back in areas where I used to have excellent service. And then today my phone froze for the first time. This 1308 update is awful. I wish I could revert back," fellow Reddit member xpxp2002 noted.

A Lumia 920 owner provided one possible solution to the matter. EthanMcD stated he performed a reset to his Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

"It wasn't a big deal since I only got my phone a week ago, and had the texts/settings/app list backed up. I just made sure I deleted the APNs I added incase those carried over too. Now I had my data connection and tethering back," he added.

The Lumia 920 smartphone has a screen size of 4.5 inches, 32GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, an NFC chip, 2,000mAh battery capacity, and is available in black, gray, red, yellow and white color variants.
