A new color variant of the Nokia Lumia 920 is making rounds on the Internet.
As seen in several Middle Eastern Nokia Facebook pages, a green model of the Windows Phone 8 smartphone was displayed on Monday. Following the post of the green Lumia 920, many reports broke the news, including Unwired View, GSM Arena, and China's TechOrz.
Unfortunately, the green model was a ploy for April Fool's Day.
Although the concept of the green model would continue Nokia's brand of having colorful smartphones compared to Apple's iPhone 5, the Lumia 920, currently, is only sold in five color variants: black, gray, red, yellow, and white.
What is real are Lumia 920 owners reporting on connectivity issues after downloading the latest software upgrade.
As detailed on Reddit, "My L920 has been having a difficult time connecting to AT&T since the firmware update," posted clyderd. "It was going in and out, it shows the bars but I am unable to send or receive texts or anything else without being on WiFi. Anyone else had this happen to them?"
The problems come as Nokia released a firmware update for AT&T customers in the U.S. The update, known as "SW 1232.5957.1308.0001," includes an enhancement to proximity sensor parameters, improved automatic display brightness adjustment, and performance improvements.
Nokia has not provided a comment or a further update on the matter.
The Lumia 920 smartphone has a screen size of 4.5 inches, 32GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, an NFC chip, and 2,000mAh battery capacity.
