The day after the New York Premiere of "The Place Beyond the Pines" Ryan Gosling was angered by a photographer.

While in New York, a fashion photographer shouted "Hey Baby" to Eva Mendes, Gosling's co-star and girlfriend. According to eyewitnesses "Gosling was infuriated and got in the guy's face" and said "Who are you calling baby?" The eyewitness then stated that Mendes was forced to jump in and calm everyone down before it became a fight. The witness added that after, "Gosling made a nice face and shook the guy's hand."

Mendes and Gosling recently made headlines during the New York Premiere of their film because they did not interact during the party which was held at the Bowey Hotel. AM New York reported that "They actually kept things very professional and didn't speak once and they both mingled and worked the room." They added "They didn't pose alone together earlier in the night, either, at the movie's premiere at the Landmark Sunshine theater."

The couple will team up once more for Gosling's directional debut "How to Catch a Monster" which will star Mendes, Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith and Ben Mendelssohn.  Gosling will next be seen in "Only God Forgives," and Terrence Malick's untitled project. He will then take a break from acting.

Mendes will next be seen in "Clear History" with Kat Hudson, Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton.

"The Place Beyond the Pines" received favorable reviews and is currently playing in four theaters.
