Even though the season four release of "Arrested Development" is right around the corner, fans have been desperately waiting for news of the official premier date and rumored movie that is to follow. We know the entire season will be released on Netflix in May, but have yet to be given the exact date. We also know that the new season may serve as a precursor to a subsequent movie that will conclude the cult classic series, but still, there's been no official word. Bullocks. However, now we're told that there will indeed be a movie tied to season four, but it won't be what fans expected.

Ron Howard, the show's narrator, has confirmed that a Bluth film will be made within the upcoming fourth season. At the end of the season three, Howard, acting as a network producer, states that he could see the Bluth story being made into a movie, and that's exactly what will happen in season four. Howard and co-producer Brian Grazer's production company Imagine Entertainment will be intertwined throughout the plotline, which will feature the Bluth family being filmed for a fictitious movie. Perhaps it's a subtle indication that a real movie is in the making.

"One of the very last lines in the show was when [I say in a voice-over], 'I don't think ['Arrested Development'] is a TV show; maybe it's a movie," Howard said. "So in the new season, we create a heightened version of Imagine Entertainment." So the "Arrested Development" movie will be made within the television show? Interesting.

Grazer and Howard will both have roles in the upcoming season. Jason Bateman, Michael Bluth on the show, confirmed that "in one episode, I get stuck in an elevator with Ron and Brian."

"It has a lot to do with our inflated egos," Howard said.

So although an "Arrested Development" movie has now been confirmed, it's not what fans had necessarily hoped for. That doesn't mean that a real Hollywood film isn't to follow, but we're still eagerly awaiting any official news. All we can do is pray and get ready for the season four release in May.
