The second episode of "The Voice" continued to show the blind auditions.

The episode opened up with Tanya Reynolds, a country singer who picked Shakira as her coach. She said she wanted to try something new and thought the Colombian pop singer could offer her a new direction in her career.

A model by profession, Josiah Hawley went to the blind auditions in search of a career change. He sang a song by Maroon Five and Adam tried to persuade him by stating that they had similar voices. However Josiah was not persuaded and he went with Usher.

Mida's Whale, a folk music duo inspired the four coaches to turn around. Shakira complimented them and the duo started to speak Spanish with her. Usher tried to persuade them stating he was the first one to turn around. However the duo ended up going with Adam.

Soul artist Abraham was up next and while he sang wonderfully and was complimented by the coaches none of them turned around for him.

Cathia, a Spanish artist sang in Spanish. Even though Usher did not know what she was singing, he was the first to turn around followed by Shakira. Before turning around Blake asked Usher what she was saying but Usher said he did not know. Blake turned around anyways. He told her that he did know what she said in the song but felt her passion and was more experienced than Shakira and Usher. Shakira however trumped Blake when she stated she knew the Latin market and could make Cathia a global superstar. Cathia ended up picking Shakira.

The last performance of the night was by Sarah Simmons from Tennessee. Simmons sang "One of Us" and made all four coaches turn around eliciting arguments from each of the coaches. Adam told her that she could win the show while Blake said her performance was in his top three singers to ever audition for the show. Shakira said she was an intense singer and that she needed a female coach. Usher said she was shocking and sang with so much conviction. Simmons however ended up picking Adam because she loves rock music.

Shakira went home with two singers putting her roster at four artists. Blake went home empty handed at the end of the show and currently has three singers. Usher picked up one singer while Adam picked up two. Both singers now have three in their rosters.

The next two episodes of "The Voice" will be aired next week on Monday and Tuesday.
