Facebook, the world's largest social network which "helps you connect the people in your life," just got a little cooler!

On Monday, the 1 billion member network announced that it added a new option that will allow users to reply directly to comments left on their page.

The web company tested the new "Replies" feature for months which would make navigating through conversation threads easier.  As a result, instead of having to leave a response to a friend's comment way after new ones have been added, you will be able to address each individual comment. These responses will be posted underneath the original comment.

The most active and popular response will also be prioritized to the top of your posts, which will help pages with thousands of followers.

Facebook's journalism program manager Vadim Lavrusik posted an official blog post explaining the feature.

"You and your readers will have the ability to reply directly to comments left on your Page content and start conversation threads, which will make it easier for you to interact directly with individual readers and keep relevant conversations connected," wrote Lavrusik.

"Also, the most active and engaging conversations among your readers will be surfaced at the top of your posts ensuring that people who visit your Page will see the best conversations."

For now, threaded replies only apply to Facebook pages, not profiles. Facebook will be bringing the feature to all pages with more than 10,000 followers by July 10, 2013.  Pages will also have the option to turn the "Replies" function off.
