Aliens: Colonial Marines had a pretty successful launch last month for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC, but Wii U owners have been left waiting for the game to come out still. The game is suppose to finally make it to the system by the end of the month. However, it appears if Gearbox Software does not even know if the game will make it to shelves by the end of March.

Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford was asked by Gamespot if he thought the game would make it to the targeted release. His response was rather vague, hinting that the game may be further delayed for the time being.

"We'll see...That's not our call. I think [developer Demiurge Studios] did amazing work. I think it's really cool, but Sega's got to figure that out...We're doing the best we can."

It should be noted that Pitchford and the rest of Gearbox do not have a direct hand in porting the game to the Wii U, but the CEO is reported to check in on the game "regularly." SEGA and Demiurge have repeatedly refused to comment on the status of the game.

While the game enjoyed a fairly successful launch and garnered some strong sales, critics were quick to pan the game's quality. As the game's original release date gets farther and farther away, it is in the game's best interest to get released on to the Wii U, so that it can ride the wave or commercial success the other versions of the game had, rather than suffer from the negative reviews of the game.  We shall see if Aliens: Colonial Marines makes it to the Wii U in the final days of March, or it gets delayed further.
