DuckTales, the cult classic cartoon, will be returning to the video game world in the form of DuckTales Remastered, a remaking of the cartoon's NES video game. The game was announced by Capcom at their presentation at PAX East in Boston.The game will be made by Wayforward Technologies, to be released this summer for the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and the Wii U eshop.

Fans of the cult classic cartoon will be pleased to know that Capcom and Wayforward are attempting to bring the best possible experience for those wishing for a nostalgic run through their childhood, while adding new features to the game. Original voice actors from the Disney Cartoon will be a part of the game. The music from the original 8-bit video game will be remastered for the remake as well.

The new features of the game include hand-drawn characters interacting with a 3D world. The game will also include a brand-new tutorial, a museum for the series, as well as the ability to swim in Scrooge McDuck's money Bin, a classic element of the television show brought to life for the players.

The game will be available for about $15 (1200 Microsoft Points) when it is released. Capcom's Rey Jimenez promises fans of the game that it will deliver the classic experience of the first game, despite the technological upgrades involved.

The series, which first premiered in 1987, follows the adventures of insanely wealthy Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. the original DuckTales game was released in 1989, and is fondly remembered by NES fans to this day. Undoubtedly this remake will attract old and new fans alike to the classic series.
