During the filming to his new telenovela "La Tempestad," William Levy revealed he was very sad because he missed his children's birthday.

The actor told the press that he missed Christopher and Kailey's birthday because he was busy with his new series. He stated that his children were in Miami and he had to call them at 6 am. He added that he finished shooting at 3:30 am and he didn't get home until 5 am. He then waited an hour because if he went to sleep he would not wake up on time. He added that he wanted to wait so he could call them before they went to school.

He also stated that every time he has to go away for a novela or film it hurts him deeply.

Levy also took the time to thank the Veracruz community for its generosity and hospitality.

Recently, Levy hit headlines when he misspelled his daughter's name. He also revealed the new tattoo he got done for the series. He stated that he had two done but one was hidden. He also showed off his new hairdo for the series which was criticized heavily by the actor's large fanbase.

His new series has also been criticized for the lack of chemistry Levy has with his co-star Ximena Navarrete. The production has also been slowed down by Levy's hard-to-understand Cuban accent after numerous appearances in American Television and film.

The series began shooting on Wednesday March 6th in Veracruz and is set to move to studios after filming on location. "La Tempestad" also stars Ivan Sanchez, Laura Carmine, Jessica Coch, Diana Bracho, Cesar Evora, Alfonso Herrera, and Luis Manuel Avila. The series is based on the Colombian telenovela "La Tormenta" and is set to air in Mexico on May 13, 2013 on El Canal de la Estrellas.
